Description
Volunteers of America South Central Louisiana is looking to hire a Home Manager in the Baton Rouge area. 

The Home Manager will assist the Program Director in providing direct supervision and oversight to the program and staff in program aspects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assist with supervision of Direct Service Workers and program functions.
• Assist with new hire process (submit packet, screen for DSP registry no., schedule for classes as needed, etc.)
• Provide staff scheduling in group homes
• Assist clients to attend doctor’s appointments, as needed
• Assist with coordination of admissions procedures
• Review and sign all required documentation (shift communications, IPP’s, etc.)
• Maintain professional, courteous relationships with all consumers, families, staff, community members and professional partnerships
• Follow all procedures as it relates to EZ Labor (training new staff to clock in & out, reviewing time cards, completing and tracking edit sheets & warnings, delay in pay & payroll adjustments).
• Facilitate staff meetings, as needed
• Assure that each resident’s individual needs are met in a home-like atmosphere
• Coordinate comprehensive health care services by assuring that physician and consultant orders are carried out in a timely manner and as prescribed
• Maintain home and monitor health and safety requirements in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Attend IPP meetings
• Assist Program Director with maintaining CARF/ State requirements.
• Assist Program Director with implementing QA/QI protocol
• Report all critical incidents & significant concerns to supervisor
• Maintain training requirements
• Provide 24 hour on-call supports
• During an emergency or inclement weather, you must coordinate staffing services for individuals served . (Evacuate/Relieve staff upon return from evacuation/shelter in place)
• Evacuate with Community Living Services consumers
• Projects and duties as assigned


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a high school diploma and a minimum of 5 year's experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check.
