Description
Volunteers of America South Central Louisiana is seeking to hire a Food and Nutrition Monitor in the Lafayette area.
The CACFP Monitor is responsible for the overall development, implementation, coordination, management and evaluation of the nutrition program to promote an interest in nutrition, commitment to meeting children's nutritional needs and an understanding of nutritions's impact on child development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Recruit eligible family home providers
- Provides technical assistance and monitoring for program compliance
- Maintain CACFP documents and reports in files for at least 5 years
- Track expiration dates for external regulatory bodies including occupancy, fire permits and food safety certification
- Review and monitor program's compliance including record keeping, daily meal count records, and temperature logs. Also, inspect storage of food to ensure it meets the requirements of the program
- Create and maintain program review schedule independently
- All other duties related to this position
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in related field of study
- 2 years' experience working in and office or providing CACFP, SFSP or other programs
- Background check clearance
- Valid driver's license and insurance
