Volunteers of America South Central Louisiana has immediate openings for compassionate and devoted persons looking to make a difference in someone's life. We are looking for direct care workers to work 1:1 with individuals with intellectual disabilities in our Supported Living Program. Our goal is to empower individuals to live quality lives by promoting personal choice and participation in their communities. Companion Workers will also assist with ADL’s, household chores, and maintaining optimal health. We are currently seeking to fill morning and weekend positions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED and the ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required. Experience, either personally or professionally, serving individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred. Qualified candidates must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation & be willing to transport individuals in their personal vehicle.
