Description
Volunteers of America is looking for a motivated, compassionate leader to oversee all aspects of our Veterans Programs in Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Lake Charles. The Program Director will provide 24 hour on-call program support, supervision of staff, maintain compliance with organizational policies and all regulatory entities/funding sources, monitor program budgets and assist with writing & renewal of grants & contracts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A Master's Degree in human services is preferred, but at minimum, qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree, 5 years experience working with veterans and/or persons with disabilities & a minimum 3 years of supervisory experience managing mid-level staff. Qualified candidates will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint. A valid driver's license, vehicle insurance and reliable transportation are a must. Experience in grant writing is a plus.
