Volunteers of America is seeking to hire a Program Director for our Partnerships in Child Care program in the Baton Rouge area.
The Program Director is responsible for the overall guidance, supervision, and management of all services offered through the program
JOB DUTIES:
- Provide guidance to all staff on methods and techniques to enhance the services offered to the early childhood community.
- Supervision of all activities of the program.
- Supervision of financial development and expenditures.
- Preparation of reports as requested by La. Department of Education.
- Supervision and evaluation of performance of staff.
- Provide guidance to staff on best practices of efficient operation of the program.
- Build upon the established relationships between the program and the early childhood community, especially the members and partners of the Act 3 Community Networks.
- Participate in Volunteers of America GBR management team responsibilities.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or higher
- 5 – 10 years of experience in the early childhood education field, with management experience included
- Knowledge of CLASS, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and La. Birth to Kindergarten Early Learning and Development Standard, including observation reliability when appropriate
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Obtain appropriate criminal background clearance and do not appear on the State Central Registry
- Must have safe, reliable transportation
