Description
Volunteers of America South Central Louisiana is looking to hire a Program Director for our Intellectual Disability Services.
Under the direct supervision of the Regional Director, the Program Director is responsible for the oversight and supervision of the residential program. The director will oversee all aspects of program operations. This incumbent is a member of the management leadership team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Supervise all program staff, residents, and programmatic functions
• Oversees hiring and retention of all staff
• Approves staff work time via ADP and according to payroll deadlines
• Conducts monthly staff meetings to maintain program integrity
• Maintain annual program budgets
• Assist in recreational and community planning for programs
• Reports all critical incidents to supervisor and governing entity
• Maintains compliance with agency policies and all regulatory entities/funding sources
• Reviews and signs all required documentation (Quarterlies/IPP’s/MARS/ICAP, etc.)
• Monitor health and safety requirements in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Maintains CARF and state requirements
• Responsible of emergency planning
• Facilitate HRC Meetings
• Approves requisitions for all purchases
• Approves petty cash and request for monies
• Reviews monthly reporting (grocery purchases, contract reports, Home Leave Reports, WEX, Vehicle Maintenance, Quarterly Analysis, Indicator Reports, Internal/External Inspections, etc.)
• Annual new and renewal contracts
• Attend Residential meetings (IPP meetings, quarterly meetings, HRC meetings, and staff meetings, etc.)
• Oversee documentation (MARS, CARF, Active Treatment, Quarterly Reviews, Medical Appointments, etc.)
• Oversee medication inventories/PO’s are completed; necessary medications are re-ordered; meds are taken as prescribed and documented correctly
• Implementing QA/QI protocols
• Oversee Behavior Management plans are followed
• Review client and staff communication summaries
• Follow all procedures as it relates to EZ labor (training new staff to clock in & out, reviewing time
• cards, completing and tracking edit sheets & warnings, delay in pay & payroll adjustments)
• Maintain training requirements
• Provide staffing and 24 hour on-call supports, as needed
• Projects and duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in a Human Service or Social Service field
• At least 3 years' experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience
