Description
Volunteers of America is looking for a Full Time Case Manager to monitor service delivery for veterans in the Lafayette/Lake Charles areas. Major responsibilities include coordination of services, conducting assessments, developing and monitoring housing service plans and maintaining partnerships with local property owners and landlords. Regular contact with caseload via phone calls, appointments and home visits is required. Local travel using personal vehicle is estimated to make up approximately 50% of job duties.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Human Service field and at least one year of post graduate work experience with veterans and/or individuals with disabilities is required. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and knowledge of various community resources. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel are essential. A valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance and willingness to use personal vehicle for work travel is a must.
