Description
Volunteers of America is looking for a part time Resident Manager to provide direct support to Program Coordinator and residents living in a transitional housing program for veterans who have mental illness and/or are dually diagnosed with a substance abuse problem.  The Resident Manager will be required to live on the premises, with up to 9 MALE residents, free of charge. In addition to room and board, they will also earn an hourly wage for job duties performed 30-35 hours/week.  Responsibilities include include but are not limited to: enforcing all rules and regulations (i.e. curfew, visitors, prohibiting drug and alcohol use, etc), keeping grounds neat & tidy, notifying maintenance dept as needs arise, assuring all residents keep their units clean and maintaining routine logs & monthly reports.  The Resident Manager will also be required to transport residents on occasion and to conduct weekly house meetings.  

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A High School Diploma and at least two years experience working with veterans, homeless populations or individuals with disabilities.  Qualified candidates must also have valid drivers license, current vehicle insurance and be willing to transport residents in an agency vehicle.  Veteran preferred but not required.
