Description
Job Description: Volunteer of America Greater Baton Rouge, The Reilly Center for Children and Families is now hiring a Part time Registered Nurse to work with children in our Therapeutic Group home for children ages 3-13. The RN must be able to provide a nursing assessment within 24 hours of admission for each person we serve, train staff on such topics as the potential side effects of medications, including psychotropic drugs, and coordinate psychiatric and medical care per physician’s direction. The RN will also be responsible to monitor and supervise all staff providing care and services to the persons we serve. The RN will report to the Program Director and serve as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. The RN will report to the supervising practitioner as necessary regarding medical, psychiatric and physical treatment issues and review all medical treatment orders and implement orders as directed.
Requirements: Must be 21 years of age, valid Louisiana driver’s license and criminal background check. He or she must be operating within his/her scope of practice and have documented experience and training in the treatment of children or adolescents.
