Volunteers of America Greater Baton Rouge is looking for a Program Assistant for our Supported Living Program. This program supports persons with physical and intellectual disabilities. The Program Assistant will touch all facets of the program from clerical and office skills to staff scheduling to regular contacts with persons served. This is a part time position (30-35 hours/week).

Job Duties Include:
 

• Contacting persons served on a regular basis to assure quality supports
• Assisting in developing and monitoring schedules for persons served and staff
• Assisting with processing time records and reviewing progress notes
• Assisting with Quality Assurance monitoring of persons served charts
• Work closely with the Program Directors to process required paper work (plans of care, quarterly meetings, billing files and family meetings).

Job Requirements Include:

• Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field (preferred)
• At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities (required)
• Outstanding computer skills  
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Must pass a background check
• Must have a valid driver’s license, operating vehicle and vehicle insurance
